Tech Data, DPS by Arco Conclude Distribution Agreement
Company's products feature Patent-pending Hidden Device Technology

Hollywood, FL, December 20 - Leading information technology products distributor Tech Data with locations in 24 countries and sales of $17.4 Billion dollars and Data Protection Solutions by Arco have concluded an agreement that will make the company's line of patented backup and disk mirroring products available through Tech Data's worldwide distribution network. Current backup solutions in the SOHO and SMB space have fallen seriously short of protecting users' data," said CEO Lawrence F. Steffann. DPS' OS-independent execution of the Disk 2 Disk (D2D) architecture, Steffann noted enables the use of all standard ATA hard drives. "Thanks to DPS patented and patent-pending technologies, we lead the disk mirroring community in the development of D2D technology," he said. "The potential demand for D2D backup in the SOHO and SMB markets is huge, and we're poised to fill that demand with fail-safe, hands-off data protection."

Steffann quoted comments from leading storage analyst Arun Taneja, Managing Partner, The Taneja Group: "Just because a company is small or medium size does not mean that its data is any less valuable than the largest of the large company's data.
