And, you don't have to be a computer whiz to use it. EzBackup101 backup software has been designed with the backup beginner in mind. All you need to know about backup is which files you want copied and when you want your backups to take place. EzBackup101 is basic enough for even the most novice or computer phobic user to master.
Schedule your backups with a few easy clicks and EzBackup101 will do the rest. You can select individual files and folders or entire categories of files (such as all your emails or music) for your backups.
Just click on an icon to choose a category, then tell EzBackup101 whether you want to backup all the files of this type or only the files that have been added or changed since your last backup.
Then go back to doing whatever you were doing.
Backup Automatically
Once you have selected your files, EzBackup101 gives you the option to select exactly when and how often you want your backups to take place. Don't want to be bothered setting up your own schedule? Do nothing. EzBackup101 will use the default schedule we set up at the factory. Once a day it will automatically back up all of the new files you have added and all the files you have changed since your last backup. If you want to change the schedule or add more backups, no problem. Just click the Schedule tab, make a few selections and EzBackup101 will do your bidding. You can set up as many as eight different backup schedules. Or, you can just do nothing and let EzBackup101 run your daily default schedule.
Backup Manually Any time
EzBackup101 doesn't limit you to automatic backups. You can backup manually at anytime from within the program.
Or, if you've got a backup drive that can be activated with a one touch button, you can just push the button to start your backup. You'll be happy to know that we have set up a one touch schedule for you at the factory as well. Use it if you need it and like it. Change it if it doesn't suit you. Ignore it if it's not something you would ever dream of using.
Drive to Drive Backup Gives You Lots of Storage Space
EzBackup101 is a drive to drive backup software. That means it backs up your files to another hard drive. You can use a second internal drive but an external backup drive-- like a USB desktop or pocket drive-- is probably a better choice. An external drive can be easily transported in the event of a possible disaster or locked up for safe keeping.
The best thing about backing up to another drive is all the storage space a hard drive backup can offer you. It gives you the luxury of maintaining multiple copies of large files that change often. One Quicken file can rapidly become 5 MB or more in size. A good size database or video project can be much larger.
Dated Backups
Having an identical backup copy of a file to restore from is great if you inadvertently delete a file. But what would you do if you suddenly realized you had made a terrible mistake on a file and it couldn't be undone? What if a file became corrupted and unusable? And you had been overwriting your backup with that same bad file day after day? It's times like these that you'll be glad EzBackup101 allows you to maintain incremental dated backups. With dated backups, you aren't saving each new backup over an earlier backup. You're saving Monday's copy and Tuesday's copy and Wednesday's copy, etc. etc. So you could go back a day, a week or even a month, depending on how long you want to keep your old backups, to find an earlier working copy of your file.
