The eSATA RAID+ is the easiest way to ensure you always have an up-to-the minute backup copy of your SATA hard drive.  One touch setup and operation gives even the most non-technical users access to the complete redundancy of RAID1 disk mirroring.  If one drive fails, there's an absolutely identical second drive to take over in its place.  The eSATA RAID+ eSATA RAID enclosure simply notifies the user (by audible and visual alarm) and automatically switches operations to the surviving drive.

The eSATA RAID+ works by writing data simultaneously and securely to two hard drives, thereby maintaining a constant mirror (duplicate) of the drive and all it contains.  If the drive being mirrored is a bootable drive and the operating system supports external bootability, then the mirror will be bootable as well.

The eSATA RAID+ is an External SATA two-drive RAID 1 enclosure with two removable key-lock protected drive caddies. Drives can be easily accessed and removed for safe keeping or swapped out and replaced. The stand alone eSATA RAID+ provides hot swap functionality. This means that, when a new drive is inserted to replace a failed drive, the unit will automatically begin to transfer data to the new drive and to establish a new mirror.  This data transfer will take place in background and the SATA drive mirroring will not interfere with the operation or use of the existing drive.

Operate the unit with the easy to use front panel LCD or via the included Windows or Linux management software. The eSATA RAID+ requires no drivers or TSRs and supports all operating systems out of the box.  There's never a need to upgrade drivers resulting from OS changes – and best of all, no conflicts!

NO eSATA PORT REQUIRED
With the SATA RAID+ you do not require an external SATA port on your computer to enjoy eSATA RAID 1 disk mirroring. If your computer does not have on-board eSATA, you can use the provided eSATA-to-SATA cable connector to easily connect the eSATA RAID+. Simply install the provided bracket into any external adapter opening in the back of the computer (does not require a card slot, simply an opening). Then attach the SATA cable to an internal SATA port on your motherboard and the eSATA cable to your eSATA RAID+.

The eSATA RAID+ is an ideal choice for protecting drives that contain large data files such as audio, video, or imaging files.  eSATA disk mirroring ensures that both drives are identical at any given moment. So the eSATA RAID+ can also be used to guarantee that there will be a second copy of your files ready to be sent to a client the minute a project is done.
