Duplidisk3 Firmware Upgrade v7.05 for SATA FlexMount


Installation Instructions
  1. If you have a DOS boot diskette, unzip SATA_705_703_up.zip onto your bootable diskette. Also, download and copy “Duplidisk DOS Utility” to your DOS boot diskette from http://arcoide.com/support_downloads.php
  2. If you do not have a DOS boot diskette, create a DOS boot diskette from the CD provided with the Duplidisk. If you do not have the CD, download "Duplidisk DOS Boot Disk Maker for Windows" from http://arcoide.com/support_downloads.php. Remove all ACP.* files from the bootable diskette and unzip SATA_705_703_up.zip onto the bootable diskette.

                Note: Here are the individual files details included in this upgrade:

                Code705.hex - (Upgrade Code)

                Data703.hex – (Upgrade Data)

                Dupli703.txt - (Pointer File)

           3. SATA FlexMount firmware upgrade can be performed either via Arco’s Windows utility or via a Serial Port. If Arco’s   

               Windows utility is used, follow the utility's step-by-step instructions. If you are using a Serial Port, continue to the next

               step.  

           4. FLASH INSTRUCTIONS! PLEASE READ CAREFULLY!                                                                                

                This Duplidisk 3 firmware upgrade must be done by following the directions in the order detailed below:

    • Using a Null Modem Cable, connect the Female end to your Computer’s COM port and the Male end to the SATA FlexMount’s connector (located on the rear bracket).
    • Reboot the PC from the DOS diskette and select EzCopy Firmware Upgrade.
    • In the Configure dropdown menu select FIRMWARE UPGRADE.
    • Select Dupli705.txt. After the upgrade is completed, remove the diskette and power cycle your computer.
    • The firmware upgrade is completed you can now resume normal operation.

Modifications Introduced Since the Last Release:

  • Modified Firmware to recognize the fixed hard drive during Linux Fedora Core # 2 installation.
