The DD3 MicroRAID was designed specifically for small footprint computer systems, such as point of sale (POS), where space is at a premium. The MicroRAID packs two 2.5” IDE drives plus an IDE RAID mirroring controller into a single unit that will fit perfectly into any 3.5" drive bay.
Featuring our easy to use DupliDisk3 (DD3) RAID 1 drive mirroring technology, the MicroRAID is the ideal
solution to provide real-time backup protection for your IDE drives where bus slots and extra drive bays are unavailable.
Just slide the MicroRAID into place, connect
your IDE (Parallel ATA) drives with the provided cables and run our quick and easy mirroring utility. When you're done, you'll have both up to the minute backup and automatic failover protection! Every time you save data to your drive, the MicroRAID will automatically send the information to both drives, so you always have an exact (and bootable, where applicable) duplicate of your drive and all the information it contains. If one of the drives fails, an alarm will sound to let you know a drive needs to be replaced but the other drive will take over automatically. And your computer and your business will stay up and running!
The MicroRAID unit requires no driver or IRQ. It sends data to both drives simultaneously so there's no lag time and no performance hit on your computer.
